The voice acting is very good, with Daws Butler giving a bravura performance in multiple roles. Then they met a young girl with an attitude named Bernice, who had been on the Spruce Goose tour with her mom before getting lost herself. Granted, I am middle aged, but I still see the entertainment value in well-done kid's cartoons, and this turkey bores the young one in the house as badly as it does me. Yogi presses all the buttons on the control panel. The whale helps the gang back to the Spruce Goose and they leave with the grateful animals behind waving goodbye. On their way back home, the gang overhears on the radio of an unmanned full of abandoned animals adrift on the Zelman Sea. He instantly believes she was eaten by sharks, until he spots her hanging onto one of the Spruce Goose's.
In this case, Yogi, Boo Boo, Quick Draw McGraw, Huckleberry Finn, and some others take Howard Hughes' famous airplane on a trip around the world and have to fight off the dastardly Dread Baron. Back on the Island of Moolah-Moolah, Mumbly has been made the new king and Dread Baron must attend to his every whim. All of a sudden, once again, they are scared by the oncoming Spruce Goose and leave again. But Yogi and the crew escape - and foil the Dread Baron's scheme. They decide to sleep and get rest for tomorrow. Yogi then comes up with an idea: The Dread Baron must prove himself worthy by taking a lost back to its nest. The Dread Baron and Mumbly accomplish this task, although they had to face a cave full of , a large and strange , and other obstacles.
With all of the gold gone, the Spruce Goose regains its full power and flies back towards. The characters include some of the best and most familiar, including Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Quick Draw McGraw, Droopy, Pink Panther, and more! There is a real sense of fun and nostalgia, though perhaps 'Yogi Bear and the Magical Flight of the Spruce Goose' just lacks the heart of 'Yogi Bear's All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper', which had a sincere and heartfelt representation of Christmas. After passing through a cloud, they witness an event where a young boy, appearing to be a , plays an instrument that leads a -like horse out of hiding. The gang then takes off and begins searching for land. I'm not a super intelligent man, I never was. A little tomboyish girl called Bernice is also in on the ride, although reluctantly at first she was a stowaway on the plane before it accidentally lifted off. They eventually arrive in the South Pole and see that a shift in the ice pack has blocked the animals' lanes to the sea, cutting them off from their food supply.
So I never was a fan of Yogi Bear and his friends. They successfully bring the bird back on the plane and up its wing. The brief black and white clip of the plane being flown by Howard Hughes himself was a lovely touch. And he's flying the friendly skies with the whole gang in an all-new, fun and fabulous full-length animated feature! Yogi takes the animals to an island but someone's on it. The gang becomes nervous at the thought, but are then reassured when Yogi switches back on the radio to hear another telling of the same story. Soon the gang exited the dome in the plane. This plan works at first, but soon backfires when the doors crack open, letting tons of seawater in and causing the ship to begin sinking.
The plane itself is not all that badly drawn, and the film opens with a brief black and while clip of the actual plane being flown by Hughes; that is the only good part of the film and much better examples of actual plane footage can be seen in many other places that don't bore us and insult us. Through nothing except random and boring bumbling around, they start her up and fly away. They've been marooned there since Dread crashed his plane. They realize their load is too heavy and Yogi and Quick Draw decide to dump the gold. The whale took them back to the Spruce Goose and the gang then flew away. They succeeded, but their mission wasn't finished yet, as the penguins were attacked by sharks.
The film stars and other H-B characters like Boo-Boo, , and Snagglepuss as members of a tour of the famous Spruce Goose. Loved Yogi Bear as a child, and still have a soft spot for it now. Soon they arrive to save the animals. When she goes out to check on the status of the penguins, she slips from the frozen wings. It does go on for a little too long, occasionally momentum is lost in scenes that are less eventful.
So they got the plane to act as a bridge to get the penguins safely across the water. Hunting down a streaming service to buy, rent, download, or view the Ray Patterson-directed movie via subscription can be tricky, so we here at Moviefone want to take the pressure off. While the gang are eating in a cargo hold, Baron and Mumbly trap them in and take the controls of the Spruce Goose. I always liked movies with an understandable, and somehow intelligent story. Experimenting, Yogi pulls back on the wheel, causing the Spruce Goose to lift off the water, avoiding the bridge. Their first idea is to pull the ship with the Spruce Goose.
They discover Bernice - she was trapped in the cargo area - she's a mean tomboy. After the segment is over, Yogi and the gang are back flying over in the Spruce Goose. This is sloppy and uninspired screen writing at its lamest. It is a funny and charming show with appealing, funny and smart humour and likable characters, plus the characters are well voiced. They see Bernice and her mom in a car beside them as she tries to tell her mom about their story. I know this is a cartoon for kids, and not for middle-aged men.
