While a great study into the foray of the self, I feel that Baggini often lingers too long on certain ideas, and after proving his point, continues on with the novel for a good 100 or so pages, so I feel that a lot of it wasn't needed for his purposes. Often scientific theories take years and decades of evidence from various sources, before they are accepted as valid. And there is also no proof for Baggini's theory either. It follows that if you accept that all we are is a bundle of thoughts, experiences, and perceptions, as I do, then The Ego Trick is obviously true.
