We've been told about this restaurant for years and never tried. Our friends ravioli equally as delicious. Food was excellent, very good quality it tasted like authentic homemade Italian cooking. This used to be a favorite of ours but would not return or recommend anymore. Our waiter seemed grumpy and aloof.
I highly recommend Antonello Really bad service from our waiter. Have Position Among the list of Most popular Actress. We had a great experience here at Antenello and will be sure to come back again. As I'm writing this, I don't remember much about the dish I ordered two months ago. A nice gesture which was another delicious plate. Lots of bread and hot Marinara Sauce as well.
The evening started with very generous antipasto plates, then passed hors d'oeuvres of sushi grade Ahi tuna blackened and marinated with soy sauce and mixed herbs, topped with micro greens. I typically have the salmon or clams vongole. Conversation is possible because the noise level is down. I ordered the chicken but the fish dish looked much better. We were first given the wine menu. My date was so excited and impressed.
Greeted at the door by Steve. I drove off to find my next review. Not worth the expense here. I went with the osso buco special which came with risotto and green beans. Everyone had their dessert so I don't know how much more things need to calm down. They bring our a little cart with a burner and cook in front of you and then served.
It was followed by Focaccia di recco: Paper thin focaccia sheets, mixed Italian cheese, truffle salt. Maybe the waiters had other tables to serve. Asked 3 times for water which bordered on ridiculous. I am always eating out with my boyfriend and by far Antonello Ristorante is the best place I have ever been!!! All courses were great from the hors d'oeuvres to the delicious salad all the way through to desert. We were greeted by the host and taken right to our seats. It is easy to find and parking was easy as well and they do have an option go valet but the walking distance from the parking lot to the front is not far at all.
The old school charm of the restaurant is off the charts. Service was good overall, with a few missteps. We have lived in south Orange County for 20 years. Antonello Ristorante was the first upscale restaurant we ever dined at 20 years ago and it is still a favorite of ours.
I ordered linguini and clams served in white wine sauce one time. A great combination of flavors! The octopus carpaccio was amazing! What is not difficult to remember was everyone had a blast, and will look forward to breaking bread again with these wonderful folks for the 2019 holiday season. Antonella was born on March 19, 1980 in Rome, Italy. My Entrée: Fileito Barolo E Gorgonzola; 8oz. A fine Italian restaurant for a work dinner lecture. For pasta it was overpriced and so was the fish.
It was beautiful, the food was amazing and the service very attentive. Still deciding if I would come here for a non-work dinner. Service is professional and accomodating. We ended with Banana's Foster. This time I came for a date on the 15th.
Fiorella, the owner's wife decorated the table and the room with gorgeous flowers, candles, and balloons. Although re repeatedly told the waiter that we intended to have a leisurely meal, he continued to rush us to order and his Atwater , in general, abrupt. The ambiance was perfect not to loud and even had great music playing by someone on a keyboard. My wife's Lasagna melted in your mouth, literally!!! We also ordered the Filet Mignon table side. The food was above a average, but the service and ambience bumped it up a notch.
On this special occasion we were set up in a nicely appointed private room upstairs, of which I had no clue even existed. Hostess was very friendly and assistant waiter or busboy? Was looking for a nice restaurant to eat for a birthday and with reading the reviews I decided on Antenello, and I am super satisfied that I did. From the salads to the entrees, the food here is excellent. I had the Pork Chop: Double cut roasted pork rack topped with, caramelized onions and fig balsamic glaze. I'm still looking for that elusive best Italian restaurant in Orange County. I have no reason to go back! Antonella Costa Dead or Alive? There were 3 entrée choices, and I went with the filet mignon which was a perfect juicy medium rare.
